What’s it all about?

I’m a longtime journalist, writer, and editor based in Silicon Valley. I’ve been blogging since the 1990s, have written columns for InfoWorld, Business 2.0, VentureBeat, and ran a podcast for WIRED. Lately my focus has shifted more from technology to how to survive and thrive in a world that seems to be spinning out of control. The touchstones for me are the natural world, meditation, and a deep-seated curiosity about other humans.

This is less of a newsletter and more of a series of occasional bulletins about life in the Bay Area and the modern world.

Check out my website, Dylan Tweney, for more of my writing (both published work and rough drafts).
